It was the summer of 2009

I saw her for the very first time

And the world seemed to standstill

All I remember is your beautiful smile

As I stand here

You are talking to your girls

Checking out all the hot guys in school

And I am wondering if I ever crossed your mind

you are beautiful,

You are kind,

You make the world better with every step you take every time

And you don’t seem you will ever let me down,

Coz I always see you lifting others around

I love the way,

You tuck your hair

Behind your ears

Your laugh is more infectious

Than any virus around

And I wish I had the guts to ask you out

And someday I might ask you

To show me the town around

You don’t ever back down,

Always have your hand raised,

Whether it’s a class or any opportunity,

You never miss a beat 

On any day

And I see you dancing,

At the summer festival in town

And I have never seen any person prettier,

You turn my frown upside down

I would listen to your silence,

All day if you let me,

Staring into your eyes,

And getting lost in the melody.

And there’s nothing in the world I wouldn’t do for you,

I will sacrifice everything and everyone for you,

And it might be problematic and unhealthy they say,

But I don’t care as long as your promise to stay.

There’s one last thing I want to say to you,

Never stop being yourself,

Never change anything for anyone,

Including myself.

Coz I love you the way you are,

With all your imperfections and flaws,

And I want you in my arms,

Till infinity and beyond 

I promise I won’t let you down,

On the days you are low,

I will be your shoulder to cry on,

And no matter what happens,

I will stay true,

Because if I know one thing in life,

Is that I love you
